I am an award-winning, Florida-based fine art photographer. I moved to the South in the summer of 2008 after living in San Francisco for almost 20 years. I wasn't ready to step back in time to a place where the tallest building was eleven stories high and where fish camps were popular recreation destinations. In a culture-shock crisis over this strange new land, I documented it with landscapes that celebrated the weight of the air, the prehistoric wildlife and the giant blooms of Seuss-like plants. I participated in group and solo shows and then began working in the media and didn't shoot anything other than news and events for several years. In 2020, I returned to photography as an art with subjects and techniques I had earlier rejected. This was an important evolutionary step!
